As 2025 unfolds, Team India is set for an action-packed cricketing calendar, featuring a series of high-stakes matches and tournaments. The schedule includes the final Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, a bilateral series against England and the ICC Champions Trophy, before the beginning of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
Border-Gavaskar Trophy
The year kicks off with the final Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia from January 3 to 7 at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). This match is crucial for India as it could significantly impact their chances of qualifying for the ICC World Test Championship final.
India vs England Series
Following their Australian tour, India will host England for a bilateral series comprising both T20Is and ODIs:

- 1st T20I: January 22, Kolkata
- 2nd T20I: January 25, Chennai

- 4th T20I: January 31, Pune
- 5th T20I: February 2, Mumbai

India’s participation in the ICC Champions Trophy will take place in Dubai from February 20 to March 9. The group stage matches include:
- Against Bangladesh: February 20
- Against Pakistan: February 23

IPL 2025
After the Champions Trophy, players will shift their focus to the IPL, which is scheduled from March 14 to May 25. This tournament not only showcases domestic talent but also serves as a platform for international stars to shine.
