Match 23 of The Hundred Men’s tournament will see the clash between Trent Rockets and Manchester Originals. The match will be contested at the Trent Bridge in Nottingham on Thursday, August 17.

Trent Rockets’ bowlers dominated in the second innings as they bundled out Welsh Fire for 148 runs. Daniel Sams was crucial for the Lewis Gregory-led side, picking up two crucial wickets. Meanwhile, Welsh Fire wicketkeeper-batter Joe Clarke scored a fifty for his side.
Manchester Originals, on the other hand, outplayed Northern Superchargers by 40 runs using the DLS method in their previous game in the ongoing season. Manchester also hols five points and are in fifth place in the standings.
In terms of their last game, Manchester skipper Jos Buttler won the toss and decided to bat first. The decision backfired, as they lost the wickets of their top-order batters. However, Jamie Overton who came in at bat at no. 6, led the charge for Manchester, scoring a half-century and helping his side post a reasonable score of 182 runs. He scored an unbeaten 83 off 30 deliveries, with the help of nine fours and six sixes.
Usama Mir spearheaded Manchester’s bowling attack, finishing with figures of 4/19. Joshua Little also picked up two wickets as Manchester restricted Northern Superchargers to 141/9.
