After being asked to bat first, India were bowled out for a meager total of 119 runs in just 19 overs. The batting line-up failed to establish partnerships, with only a few players managing to contribute significantly.

Rishabh Pant stood out as the top scorer for India, managing a valiant 42 runs off 31 balls. Axar Patel added a steady 20 runs from 18 deliveries. Despite their efforts, the rest of the batting order could not provide the necessary support, resulting in a below-par total.
Naseem Shah’s fiery spell
Naseem Shah was the pick of the bowlers for Pakistan, delivering an outstanding spell to claim 3 wickets for just 21 runs. His pace and accuracy dismantled the Indian batting line-up, putting Pakistan in a commanding position. Apart from Naseem, Mohammad Amir provided crucial breakthroughs, taking 2 wickets for 23 runs. His experience and skill further compounded India’s troubles, ensuring that the hosts struggled to put up a fighting total.

Jasprit Bumrah leads India home
In a thrilling contest, Pakistan fell short in their chase of 120 runs, ending their innings at 113/7 in the allotted 20 overs. The Indian bowlers delivered a disciplined performance to secure a narrow victory. Mohammad Rizwan was the standout performer for Pakistan, scoring a determined 31 runs. Despite his efforts, Pakistan’s batting line-up faltered under pressure, unable to build the necessary partnerships to reach the target.
Jasprit Bumrah was instrumental in India’s victory, taking 3 crucial wickets for just 14 runs. His precise and lethal bowling in the death overs turned the tide in India’s favor, ensuring they maintained control over the match. Hardik Pandya also played a pivotal role, claiming 2 wickets for 24 runs. His contributions with the ball were crucial in containing Pakistan’s batting and keeping the required run rate in check. Eventually, India emerged victorious by 6 runs, defending a modest total with an excellent bowling performance.
