India’s bowling, led by Arundhati Reddy and Shreyanka Patil, restricted Pakistan to a manageable total. Reddy was the standout bowler, claiming 3 wickets for 19 runs in her four overs, including the crucial scalps of Nida and Aliya Riaz. Jemimah Rodrigues contributed with a patient 23 off 28 balls, adding a crucial partnership with Shafali. Harmanpreet, who had to retire hurt after scoring a quick 29 off 24 balls, played a vital role in steering India close to the target. In the end, India comfortably reached 108/4 in 18.5 overs, winning by 6 wickets with 7 balls to spare.

Fatima Sana’s all-round effort goes in vain for Pakistan

Pakistan’s captain Fatima gave an impressive all-round performance, taking 2 wickets for 23 runs after her earlier contribution with the bat. She dismissed key Indian batters Jemimah and Richa Ghosh, but her efforts were not enough to turn the tide in Pakistan’s favour. Sadia also bowled well, taking 1 wicket for 23 runs, but the target of 106 was not enough to challenge India. Despite their bowlers’ valiant efforts, Pakistan fell short.
