The Uttar Pradesh (UP) T20 League is set to shift its base from Kanpur to Lucknow for the upcoming season. All matches, from the league stage to the final, will be held at the state-of-the-art Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium.

The tournament, aimed at nurturing young cricketing talent, will see six teams – Gorakhpur Lions, Kanpur Superstars, Kashi Rudras, Lucknow Falcons, Meerut Mavericks and Noida Super Kings  – battle it out for the coveted title from August 25 to September 14.

Defending champions Kashi Rudras will look to retain their crown, while the other teams, including the Noida Super Kings, who parted ways with veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, will be eager to lift the trophy. Interestingly, Bhuvi has found a new home in the league, becoming the most expensive buy at the auction, snapped up by Lucknow Falcons for a hefty INR 30.25 lakh.
