The striking resemblance led to significant attention as Kohli’s lookalike joined the demonstrators in the streets, highlighting the tense atmosphere of the day.

The video emerged a day after Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina fled to India following her resignation amidst a series of severe and deadly demonstrations across the country. The unrest, which had escalated dramatically, prompted Hasina’s abrupt departure and highlighted the gravity of the political crisis gripping Bangladesh.

On sunday, protestors wreaked havoc by burning several places, including the house of former cricketer Mashrafe Mortaza. According to the sources, several hundreds were killed and thousand injured in violence during the protest against the government. The protesters came to light weeks before the women’s T20 World Cup 2024, scheduled in Bangladesh in October. According to ESPNcricinfo, the International Cricket Council (ICC) is closely monitoring the situation  with backup options  in India, Sri Lanka, and UAE.
