In a thrilling moment during Match 18 of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024, Alick Athanaze showcased remarkable fielding skills, pulling off a one-handed blinder to dismiss Ryan John of St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.

Barbados Royals faced off against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. The Royals, after electing to bowl first, restricted the Patriots to a modest total of 110 all out in 19.1 overs.

Quinton de Kock anchored the chase with an unbeaten knock of 59 off 38 balls, smashing 3 fours and 4 sixes to seal the win. Realizing the ball was traveling faster than expected, Athanaze adjusted quickly and leapt forward to grab a stunning one-handed catch before tumbling to the ground.
