Arshdeep Singh gets a warm welcome in Mohali
Among the celebrated players, speedster Arshdeep Singh received a particularly grand reception when he arrived at Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport on Saturday evening.
The star bowler was greeted by hundreds of fans, along with his parents, sister, relatives, and coach. Additionaly, Punjab government officials, Chandigarh University officials, and representatives from his IPL team, Punjab Kings (PBKS) were also there.
Fans chanted slogans and danced to the beats of dhols, creating a festive atmosphere. Arshdeep rode a jeep for a roadshow, further engaging with the cheering crowd that lined the streets to catch a glimpse of their local hero.

Notably, Arshdeep played a crucial role in India’s bowling attack during the T20 World Cup and his exceptional performance helped secure India’s title triumph. The star bowler finished the tournament as the joint-highest wicket-taker, claiming 17 wickets, which underscored his importance to the team and his outstanding skill as a bowler.
Arshdeep expressed immense joy and gratitude for the warm reception he received, noting that the overwhelming love and support from fans in Delhi, Mumbai, and Chandigarh made his return home exceptionally special. He described winning the T20 World Cup as a dream come true, and the enthusiastic welcome from fans as an extraordinary experience that went beyond his expectations.
“It’s wonderful to be back to such a warm welcome. Be it Delhi, Mumbai or Chandigarh, fans just have been outstanding, oozing with love and warmth. Winning the World Cup was like a dream come true and so much love from all corners is just out-of-the-world experience,” said Arshdeep while talking to the reporters.
