The shot resulted in a top-edge, and Shardul Thakur safely completed the catch at mid-on, giving LSG their first breakthrough.
As Arya walked back to the pavilion, Rathi ran towards him and performed the notebook celebration, pretending to write Arya’s name in an imaginary notebook before checking it off. This gesture, popularized by Kesrick, added intensity to the moment but drew immediate attention from the on-field umpire, who warned Rathi about his actions.

Nicholas Pooran guides LSG to a respectable total
Earlier in the game, LSG posted a competitive total of 171/7 thanks to contributions from Nicholas Pooran (44 off 30 balls) and Ayush Badoni (41 off 33 balls). PBKS began their chase strongly but lost Arya early due to Rathi’s impactful bowling.
