Andrew Tye’s expensive 28 runs over

In a display of raw power and precision, Bajwa’s most memorable performance came during the penultimate over of the innings against Australian pacer Andrew Tye. This over became a pivotal moment in the match, as Bajwa unleashed an astonishing assault that saw him accumulate 28 runs off Tye’s six deliveries.

The over began with a scooped six, immediately setting the tone for what was to follow. The second ball was expertly placed for a boundary on the leg side. Bajwa’s next two shots were spectacular, a full toss hammered for a six over the off-side followed by a four in the same region.

The fifth ball, though shorter, was elegantly guided for four behind the wickets. Bajwa completed his assault with another boundary off the final delivery, sending a full toss over the off-side once again. This over exemplified Bajwa’s striking prowess and was instrumental in propelling Tiger’s score to a challenging total.

Despite Bajwa’s exceptional performance, the rest of the Tigers’ innings saw Parveen Kumar as the next highest scorer with a modest 18 off 19 balls. In their pursuit of 168, the Wolves struggled against a disciplined bowling attack and were bowled out for 124 in just 18.5 overs.

Azmatullah Omarzai was the standout bowler for the Tigers, delivering a match-winning performance with figures of 4 for 21. Kaleem Sana and Zahoor Khan provided valuable support with two wickets each. For the Wolves, George Munsey was the top scorer with a resilient 54 off 34 balls, while Kobe Herft contributed 22 off 30 balls, but their efforts fell short as the team failed to chase down the target.
