Saint Lucia Kings post a competitive total

Saint Lucia Kings posted a competitive total of 152/8 in their 20 overs, thanks to crucial contributions from David Wiese (43 off 26) and Ackeem Auguste (35 off 28). Johnson Charles provided a brisk start with 25 runs off 20 balls, while Du Plessis managed 14 runs off 12 deliveries. However, the Kings’ middle order faltered, with notable failures from Roston Chase (0) and Bhanuka Rajapaksa (1). The late surge from Wiese, who hit 4 sixes, helped push the Kings to a defendable total of 152/8.

Chris Green shines with the ball

Antigua and Barbuda Falcons’ bowlers did a commendable job, with Chris Green being the standout performer, taking 4 wickets for 22 runs in his 4 overs. Shamar Springer also impressed with figures of 3/19. Despite economical spells from Imad Wasim (0/18 in 4 overs) and Kofi James (1/8 in 1 over), Antigua and Barbuda couldn’t completely restrict Saint Lucia Kings.

Khary Pierre leads Saint Lucia Kings to an impressive win

Chasing 153, Antigua and Barbuda Falcons struggled to build momentum, losing wickets at regular intervals. Green fought valiantly, top-scoring with 48 off 37 balls, while Springer added 24 off 32. The lower-order contributions from Roshon Primus (17 off 10) briefly revived hopes, but it wasn’t enough to chase down the target. Key batters like Sam Billings (5), Wasim (0), and Jahmar Hamilton (0) failed to make an impact, leaving the Falcons short of the target.

Saint Lucia Kings’ bowlers bowled in unison, with Khary Pierre leading the attack, taking 3 wickets for 24 runs in his 4 overs. Noor Ahmad was equally effective, claiming 2 wickets for just 13 runs. Alzarri Joseph (1/32) and Chase (1/15) also chipped in, ensuring that Antigua and Barbuda finished at 126/8 in 20 overs.
