The CPL 2024 clash between the Antigua & Barbuda Falcons and the St Kitts & Nevis Patriots was a thrilling encounter that went down to the wire. The Falcons, batting first, were in a precarious position after losing Teddy Bishop early. However, Fakhar Zaman‘s explosive innings turned the tide in their favour.

Fakhar Zaman’s counter-attack on Patriots

The Pakistani opener played a sensational cameo, scoring 43 runs from just 30 deliveries. His aggressive approach provided the Falcons with the momentum they needed to recover from their early setback. Zaman’s innings was a mix of power and finesse, as he effortlessly dispatched the Patriots’ bowlers to all parts of the ground.

Tabraiz Shamsi’s crucial strike

Despite Zaman’s brilliant knock, the Falcons were unable to maintain their momentum. In the 10th over, Tabraiz Shamsi, the Patriots’ star spinner, delivered a crucial wicket. The South African leg-spinner deceived Zaman with a well-disguised delivery, inducing the Pakistani batter to attempt a slog sweep. However, Zaman’s shot went awry, and he was caught by Evin Lewis at deep mid-wicket.
