Sussex dominates after Glamorgan’s struggles on Day 1

Despite Kiran Carlson’s determined effort, Glamorgan struggled to build substantial partnerships. Carlson played a resilient knock, scoring 56 off 81 balls, which included eight well-timed boundaries. His innings was a bright spot in an otherwise shaky performance by Glamorgan’s top and middle order.

In response, Sussex made a strong start to their innings, reaching 121/1 at the close of play on Day 1. Opener Daniel Hughes anchored the innings, remaining unbeaten with a composed 70 off 118 balls, including 12 fours.
