In a captivating encounter of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024, Saint Lucia Kings triumphed over Antigua and Barbuda Falcons, securing a comfortable seven wicket victory in the 6th match of the tournament. The match, held at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, was highlighted by the extraordinary bowling performance of young spinner Noor Ahmad, whose cunning spin outfoxed the opposition and earned him the Player of the Match award.
Noor Ahmad outfoxes Fabian Allen
The pivotal moment of the game came in the 17th over of the Falcons’ innings when Noor, with his web of spin, completely deceived Fabian Allen, dismissing him for a golden duck. Allen, attempting an ambitious slog over mid-wicket, was left stunned as he failed to read a full leg-break delivery that crashed into his stumps. This dismissal was a part of Noor’s impressive three-wicket haul, which also included the key scalps of Jewel Andrew and Sam Billings.
