Match 40 of the ongoing Cricket World Cup will see the clash between Netherlands and England. The match will be contested at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. Netherlands and England are currently sitting ninth and tenth in the World Cup points table with four and two points, respectively.

The Netherlands are coming off a seven-wicket defeat over Afghanistan in their previous game at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Their two victories in the tournament were against South Africa and Bangladesh.

Sybrand Engelbrecht

Sybrand Engelbrecht could be the Netherlands’ best batter in the upcoming clash against England. The middle-order batter is currently the Dutch team’s leading run-scorer, having scored 222 runs in six games, including two half-centuries at an average of 37.00 and a strike rate of 69.15. He led the charge for the Scott Edwards-led side in their previous encounter against Afghanistan, scoring 58 off 86 deliveries, including six boundaries.

Bas de Leede

Bas de Leede has been one of the standout performers for the Netherlands so far in this tournament. The all-rounder has proven his worth with both the bat and ball. He has scored 117 runs, including a half-century at an average of 16.71. Meanwhile, with the ball, he has claimed a total of 11 wickets at an economy rate of 704.

Logan van Beek

Logan van Beek has demonstrated some remarkable performances so far in the tournament. He has picked up a total of 10 wickets in six games at an excellent economy rate of 5.52. His best performance came against five-time champions Australia, where he finished with excellent figures of 4/74 in his full quota.
