Game 33 of the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023 will feature a clash between India and Sri Lanka at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, on Thursday, November 2. Sri Lanka will be coming into the clash on the back of a loss against Afghanistan in their previous game. Both sides faced each other in the 30th game of the marquee event, where Afghanistan managed to inch away with a seven-wicket victory.

Having played six games in the tournament so far, Sri Lanka have managed to register a win in two matches, and have lost the remaining four. Having taken 13 wickets in his last six matches, Dilshan Madushanka has been in good form and he will be keen on putting in yet another good performance against the hosts.

Skipper Kusal Mendis could be another player who could make a big impact for Sri Lanka against the Indian team. Leading from the front, Mendis has scored 441 runs his last 10 matches, and he will be keen on performing with the bat when the side takes centre stage against the Men in Blue. 

1. Sadeera Samarawickrama

Sadeera Samarawickrama could be one player to watch out for team India. In exceptional form, the batter has scored 489 runs in his last 10 games and him performing at the peak of his powers could come in really handy for Sri Lanka.
