On September 20, Australia and Canada will face off in the Over-40s Global Cricket Tournament at Moin Khan Cricket Stadium in Karachi. This tournament will be held at multiple grounds in Karachi, starting from September 19. It will be intriguing to see how the Canadian team performs against the strong favourite, Australia.
This tournament is expected to captivate cricket enthusiasts worldwide as they witness their favorite players in action. The semifinals of the Over-40s Global Cricket Tournament are scheduled for September 30, followed by the final match on October 2.
This exciting event promises to bring back memories as cricket legends from different eras are all set to come together and showcase their skills on the field.
The host nation, Pakistan, played their first game of the tournament on Tuesday, September 19 against the USA at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi. They will have subsequent matches against Nepal on September 20, Australia on September 22, West Indies on September 24, Canada on September 25, Hong Kong on September 27, and UAE on September 28.
Each team will play seven matches in the tournament, and the top four teams will advance to the semifinals. The PVCA (Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association) is confident that this unique tournament will be a tremendous success.
Some of Pakistan’s biggest stars, including Shahid Afridi, Abdul Razzaq, and Misbah-ul-Haq, will be participating, along with other talented players such as Muhammad Sami and Hassan Raza.
