The match 22 of the Pakistan Super League will feature Quetta Gladiators and Karachi Kings taking on each other on Monday, March 6 at the Pindi Club Ground, Rawalpindi. The game promises to be an entertaining one for the fans as the two bottom ranked teams will take on each other.
Kings started their campaign with a game against Peshawar Zalmi and almost chased down the target of 200 but eventually fell three runs short and lost the match by two runs. They further went on to lose their next game against Islamabad United by four wickets.
The team led by Imad Wasim once again lost a close encounter against Quetta Gladiators in their third game. Kings finally had the first taste of victory in their fourth fixture against the defending champions Lahore Qalandars as they defeated them by a massive margin of 67 runs.
They registered their second win against Multan Sultans by a margin of 66 runs. Kings are ranked fifth on the points table with just two wins to their name out of eight matches.
On the other hand, Gladiators also didn’t get off to the best of the starts in the tournament losing the opening encounter against Multan Sultans by a massive margin of nine wickets. They were bundled out for 110 batting first and the Sultans chased down the target with 39 balls to spare.
Led by Sarfaraz Ahmed, Gladiators made a comeback in their second fixture as they defeated Kings in a close encounter by six runs. However, they couldn’t keep up with the winning momentum and went on to lose their next four matches. Having just one win out of six matches, Gladiators are ranked last on the points table.
Kings have dented their chances of qualifying for the knockout stages, however, Gladiators still have a chance with their four matches left in the league stage.
The Sarfaraz Ahmed-led side will look to stay in the race of the knockout stages by winning all of their remaining four matches while Kings will look to spoil their chances by beating them.
