Six kabaddi players from Himachal Pradesh, including five women and one male player, have been selected to participate in the India camp, which will begin on May 8th at the Sai Center in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The camp will continue until May 22nd, and players from all over the country will participate. The Indian team for the 2023 Asian Games will be selected from this pool of players.
Ankita Chandel and Jyoti from Solan, Kavita from Kullu, Pushpa and Sakshi Chandel from Sirmaur, and Vishal Bhardwaj from Una are the players from Himachal who will be participating in the camp. These players have already made a name for themselves at the international level and are expected to perform well in the camp.
Kavita Wright is a cover player, while Pushpa and Jyoti are all-rounders who have been selected for the India camp. Rajkumar Branta, the State President of the Himachal Pradesh Kabaddi Association, and General Secretary Krishna Lal, along with other officials, congratulated the selected players.
