Kullu’s Under-16 Kabaddi tournament witnesses epic matches as new stars rise

In Bashing, which is close to the city, the Abhyudaya Youth Club arranged a zone-level sports and athletics tournament. The Saraswati Vidya Mandir Bashing under-16 boys and girls tournament drew around 300 participants from nine groups who demonstrated their strength.

Sanch Naggar finished second in the student Kabaddi competition, while Sanch Shirdha took first place. Sanch Jagatsukh won the first place in the girl’s Kabaddi competition, while Sanch Naggar took second place. In addition, Naggar Sanch athletes Trupti and Surendra won first place during the high jump female and student categories, respectively.

The race’s overall winners were Divyansh and Sheetal. The players who placed top in the zonal tournament are going to represent Kullu in the Hamirpur district, according to Neelam, the head of Gramme Swaraj Yojana.

He said that prior to this, district-level sporting and athletic events were held in different parts of the district. Participating at the zonal scale were athletes who fared better in the state level. Vijay Sen, Manohar Lal, Suman Lata, Kaul Singh, Narendra, and others were present throughout this. 

Rudraprayag Kabaddi tournament sees Ratura triumph

A sports Mahakumbh tournament was organised by Nyaya Panchayat Sumerpur. In Kabaddi, PMShri GIC Ratura and Atal Excellent Government Inter College Rudraprayag prevailed.

Sheela Rawat, a member of the district panchayat, gave the sporting events their start. In the under-14 girls’ 600 metre event, Saloni as well as Shankar Singh took first place. In the 100 and 200 metres for the under-17 age category, Mohit, Anushka, and Sonakshi took first place. Ajay Rawat won the 1500-meter event, Vineet won the 800-meter race, and Sandeep won the 400-meter race. 

In the 3000 metre race, Himanshu prevailed. Pramod Kumar and Radhika won the high jump, while Abhishek Jagwan as well as Mehak won the long jump. In the boys’ shot put division, Abhishek Jagwan and Shivani became victorious. Sonakshi’s Ajay Rawat won the long jump.
