To fill the void, Canterbury’s Mitch Hay has been drafted into the squad. The 25-year-old wicketkeeper-batter boasts an impressive domestic record and is widely regarded as a composed presence with the bat. With Blundell unavailable, Hay now stands on the cusp of a debut in front of a home crowd at the Basin Reserve.
