In the current world, YouTube has become an important platform to engage with everyone and share day-to-day information with subscribers. It has made life easier for the influencers who daily communicate with their followers and share their opinions on any random topic. 

Similarly, many famous cricketers from around the world have joined the community on YouTube where they share their opinions on cricket and earn their livelihood as well. As the popularity of the sport increased all over the world, cricketers started gaining attention and stardom. 

Gradually, cricket became famous in India as many fans emerged and the craziness for the sport skyrocketed which gave a boost to the cricketers in their initial days. The advent of social media has given a boost to the cricketers and based on that many cricketers joined the video platform where they share their views on cricket, a particular player and tournament etc.

5. Brad Hogg- Bradd Hogg TV

Bradd Hogg

The former Australian cricketer was the side’s most merculiar left-arm spinner in his time. Hogg began his career as a proper left-hand batter before getting into the bowling side as a wrist-spinner. Later, he was announced as the extraordinary flipper when he dismissed Zimbabwe’s Andy Flower in the 2003 World Cup. 

Brad Hogg started his YouTube channel in July 2012, where he talks about the sport and analyses any particular match. He has 130K subscribers who engage with the content on his page. The most viewed video posted by Hogg is titled ‘What makes India so successful?’ with 358k views on YouTube. 

The popular video section on his channel includes the videos he posts on team India, and Indian cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah Shubman Gill etc. He compares batsmen, and their career in the game and also talks about what a player can do better to improve his game.

4. Ramiz Raja- Ramiz Speaks 

Ramiz Raja

Ramiz Raja, a key player in the Pakistan team has been an expert in many fields during his time. He emerged as a man of integrity and dignity on the field and while administrating when the Pakistan team was called out as a scandalous unit.

The former Pakistan great is also known for his 1992 World Cup-winning catch to dismiss England’s RK Illingwood. He also became famous for his flick to square leg which became very famous in no time. He could not stand out with his performance in Tests though he has been a consistent performer in ODIs for his side. 

‘Ramiz Speaks’ is the name of the Pakistan great’s YouTube channel with 1.75 million subscribers where he talks about various cricketers and analyses their performance and form and also shares the scope of improvement if there is any. Most of the videos that he posts are the analysis of the Pakistan team’s performances in the game. His most viewed video is titled ‘Rubbish Performance by Pakistan’ with a viewership of 4.1 million.

3. Shoaib Akhtar

The Pakistan great is also known as the ‘Rawalpindi Express‘ for his bowling speed. Everybody knew that he was there to rule the cricket world when he entered the game. First his speed and then the attitude he used to carry on the field.

He was at his peak especially from 2004 to 2006. In the series against England in 2005-6, he took 17 wickets which led to Pakistan winning the home series. There have been many lows in Akhtar’s cricketing career but he always stood up and showed in his performances. 

Akhtar is pretty active on his YouTube channel- Shoaib Akhtar 100mph where he calls cricket expers, former cricketers and talks about a particular team’s performance in a series. He also posts videos of on field incidents, activities he involves during any pre match discussions. He has covered several videos on India’s victory over South Africa in the 2024 T20 World Cup. The former cricketer has posted a video specially for Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma after their T20s retirement announcement titled ‘Tribute to Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.’ Shoaib Akhtar has 3.71 million subcribers on his channel with the most viewed being at 11 million on ‘India vs Pakistan- Brainless captaincy- 2019 World Cup.’

2. Ravichandran Ashwin

India’s star Ravichandran Ashwin has been in limelight because of his performances. Ashwin has takes his tricks and lessons that he learned with the tennis ball on Chennai streets to a level where now he is the leading off spinner. 

Ashwin was on the verge of becoming one of the best spinners India have had after Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh. He took 9 wickets in his maiden Test in which he became the Man of the Match. He took nine five-fors in his first 16 Test matches which led him to become the fastest to reach 300 wickets and second fastest to 400 behind Muttiah Muralitharan. 

Ashwin’s YouTube channel has been one of the most famous and watched channels, his most viral series being ‘Kutti Stories’ where he calls cricketers both former and present, experts and discusses and analyses matches. His cricketing knowledge has made his channel the most viewed amongst the fans of the game. He shares detailed match analysis and his knowledge of the game is the key feature of his channel.

1. Aakash Chopra- Cricket Aakash

Aakash Chopra

The former India cricketer turned commentator who is now famous for giving his views on various aspects on the Indian cricket has had a decent career in his time. He used to be one of the reliable batters for India, as an opener his technique and temperament helped the side in putting a good score on board. 

The former batter goes with the name ‘Cricket Aakash’ on YouTube platform where he gives his analysis on a particular team, player and shares his insights on the scope of improvement. He likes to give his verdict on various situations majorly involving the Indian cricketers or team India. Chopra also posts explainer videos about various cricketing terms, rules etc for the audience.

Aakash Chopra has about 4.63 million subscribers with the most watched video being an explainer on ‘What is Yo-Yo test’ with almost 3.2 million views. Chopra creates videos on various types of topics like, reaction videos, explainers, discussion with cricketers, analysis videos etc.
