The match began with Meghalaya scoring 260 runs in their first innings after electing to bat. On Day 2, Delhi’s top order dominated, with Aaryavir and Arnav S Bugga stitching an impressive 180-run partnership for the opening wicket. Bugga scored a century before departing, while Aaryavir continued his onslaught, propelling Delhi to a commanding lead of 208 runs by stumps.
A knock to remember for Aaryavir Sehwag
Aaryavir’s magnificent innings was marked by 51 fours and three sixes, taking just 309 balls to reach his career-best 297. His score now stands as the highest individual total in this edition of the Cooch Behar Trophy, surpassing Uttar Pradesh’s Bhavy Goyal, who scored 273 earlier in the tournament.
