Rohit Sharma humorously teases Washington Sundar

The match marked the return of Rohit Sharma as captain of the Indian team in the 50-over format. Sharma’s leadership was highlighted by a memorable and humorous incident involving his teammate, Washington Sundar.

During the first innings Sundar bowled to Dunith Wellalage, who yorked himself at 91kph, there was confusion over whether the ball had hit the bat or pad. India decided against using the Decision Review System (DRS), but replays showed it was clearly off the bat.  Sundar struggled to assist the skipper with the review, while Rohit couldn’t contain his laughter.

Rohit humorously quipped from behind the stumps, “Kya mereko kya dekh raha hai, sab mai keru tere liye? (Why are you looking at me? Should I do everything for you?).
