Muchawaya’s delivery was a masterclass in fast bowling. As Warner faced him in the first over of Bulawayo’s innings, he appeared completely unprepared for the pinpoint accuracy of Muchawaya’s yorker. The ball crashed into Warner’s off and middle stumps, sending him back to the pavilion for just 1 run off two balls. Joburg Bangla Tigers clinch victory over Bulawayo Brave Jaguars

The match unfolded with Joburg Bangla Tigers showcasing a clinical performance to defeat Bulawayo Brave Jaguars by four wickets. After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Bulawayo managed to post a total of 110 runs for the loss of five wickets in their allotted ten overs. Anamul Haque and Kobe Herft were notable contributors, scoring 24 runs off 18 balls and 21 runs off 15 balls, respectively. Nick Hobson and Wesley Madhevere added valuable runs as well, with scores of 20 off 11 balls and an unbeaten 18 off 10 balls.

On the bowling front, George Linde emerged as a standout performer for Joburg, claiming two wickets while Muchawaya, Luke Wood, and Adam Milne each chipped in with one wicket apiece. Their disciplined bowling effort restricted Bulawayo to a modest total, setting up a chase that was well within reach for Joburg.

Bangla Tigers chase the total in style

In response to Bulawayo’s total, Joburg Bangla Tigers approached their innings with confidence. They reached their target on the penultimate delivery of the match, finishing with a score of 112 runs for six wickets in just 9.5 overs. Linde was instrumental in their success, top-scoring with an explosive 31 runs from only 16 deliveries, including three sixes and one boundary. Contributions from Kari Janat (23* off 10), Kusal Perera (22 off 7), and Mohammad Shahzad (20 off 15) ensured that Joburg maintained momentum throughout their innings. Despite the loss, Wellington Masakadza stood out among Bulawayo’s bowlers by taking two crucial wickets. Skipper Daryn Dupavillon along with Victor Chirwa, Akila Dananjaya, and Carlos Brathwaite also contributed with one wicket each but could not prevent Joburg from sealing their victory.
