The 2nd Test between the West Indies and South Africa took an electrifying turn as Jayden Seales delivered a stunning spell, dismissing South Africa’s David Bedingham for a duck in the 47th over of their second innings. The young West Indian pacer knocked over Bedingham, igniting excitement across the stadium.
Jayden Seales’ impressive delivery
In a delivery described as “what a spell this is from Seales” by an ecstatic Ian Bishop on air, Seales pitched the ball on a good length just outside off-stump. The ball seamed in sharply after pitching, forcing Bedingham to lean forward and attempt a tentative push. However, he could only manage an inside edge onto his pads, with the ball ricocheting back to crash into the off-stump. The dismissal of Bedingham, who faced 10 balls without scoring, marked a significant moment as South Africa began to stumble under the pressure.

South Africa takes a big lead on Day 2 of 2nd Test
Earlier in the day, the West Indies resumed their first innings on Day 2 with a total of 144 runs, all out, trailing South Africa by 16 runs after the visitors posted 160 runs in their first innings. Wiaan Mulder was the standout performer with the ball for South Africa, claiming four crucial wickets to limit the West Indies.
In South Africa’s second innings, they managed to stabilize after early losses, reaching 223/5 by the end of Day 2, largely due to brilliant half-centuries from opener Aiden Markram and wicketkeeper-batter Kyle Verreynne. Their efforts have given South Africa a solid lead of 239 runs as they head into Day 3, with the match finely poised.
With South Africa holding a considerable lead, the West Indies will need to mount a strong response on the third day to stay in the contest. The game continues to ebb and flow, promising an exciting finish as both teams battle for supremacy in this crucial Test match.
