After four years with Real Madrid, Eden Hazard will depart at the end of June; despite winning two La Liga championships and the Champions League, he struggled to make an impact because of injuries and subpar performance; Following Marco Asensio’s declaration of the move from Real Madrid, the announcement was made.

The international player from Belgium moved to the club in 2019 from Chelsea in a transaction that would have cost £130 million if all payment of bonuses were made.

Despite having a five-year original contract with Real Madrid that runs through 2024, Hazard has struggled with injuries and inconsistent play. In 76 appearances throughout his stint at Real Madrid, he netted seven goals, including 10 in all competitions during the 2022–23 season.

Two LaLiga championships, one Champions League, and one Copa Del Rey are just a few of the trophies won by the club. On Saturday, it was also revealed that Mariano is leaving. The striker progressed by means of club’s academy and played for the first team for six seasons.

After Marco Asensio’s exit from Real Madrid was revealed earlier on Saturday, Hazard’s departure followed. The attacker is close to agreeing to a pre-contract agreement to join Paris Saint-Germain, claims Sky Germany. The 27-year-old is about to agree to a four-year contract after finalised negotiations.

Asensio has only made 50 starts for Carlo Ancelotti’s team this season and could make one more appearance for the team on Sunday when they host Athletic Bilbao. According to reports, the attacker had been given a new deal by Real but declined to extend his nine-year affiliation with the team.

This summer, PSG will likely lose several of its top players. Lionel Messi as well as former Real skipper Sergio Ramos have already announced their departures from the team. Therefore the signing of Marco Asensio for free would give the French side just the boost they needed to build for next season.
