Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) lost for the fifth straight time in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 when they faced  Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Monday. SRH continued to display their batting strength and registered the highest total (287) in the IPL’s history, overtaking their own total of 277/3, which came against Mumbai Indians (MI).

RCB, on the other hand, showcased their fighting spirit by scoring the highest total (262) while chasing by any team. Their efforts, though in vain, were a testament to their resilience.

Australian star batter Travis Head went on to play another remarkable knock in this tournament. Opening the innings for SRH, Head played a sensational innings, scoring a blistering 102 runs off just 41 balls, boasting an incredible strike rate of 248.78.

With this phenomenal hitting, Head etched his name into the annals of IPL history, joining the elite ranks of batters who have notched up the fastest centuries in IPL.

2. Yusuf Pathan – 37 balls
