The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 witnessed a moment that instantly went viral as Lizelle Lee produced an outrageous catch to dismiss Radha Yadav during the clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women and Delhi Capitals Women. The stunning effort summed up Delhi’s sharpness in the field and capped off a dominant bowling display that saw RCB bundled out for their lowest-ever total in Women’s Premier League history.

Lizelle Lee takes a brilliant catch to dismiss Radha Yadav

The decisive moment arrived on the third ball of the 17th over, bowled by Chinelle Henry. With RCB already under pressure, Radha attempted an audacious upper cut on a short delivery, hoping to relieve some tension. Instead, she managed a thick outside edge.

What followed left fans and players stunned. Lizelle, standing up to the stumps, reacted in a flash. The ball flew towards her face, but Lee showed exceptional reflexes, reverse-cupping the ball safely inches from her nose. The crowd erupted as Radha walked back, knowing she had fallen to something truly special. It wasn’t just a wicket—it was a statement of intent from Delhi.

Delhi’s bowlers choke RCB from the start

While Lee’s catch will dominate highlight reels, the foundation for Delhi Capitals’ dominance was laid much earlier. Marizanne Kapp and Chinelle Henry delivered a probing new-ball spell, extracting movement and bounce on a tricky surface. RCB were never allowed to settle, with boundaries drying up and pressure mounting from the very first over.

Smriti Mandhana showed glimpses of composure and looked to anchor the innings, but her dismissal soon after the first timeout tilted the balance firmly in Delhi’s favour. From there, wickets fell at regular intervals, with batters struggling to find timing or rhythm.

Among the chaos, Radha stood out as one of the few RCB batters who looked comfortable at the crease. She rotated the strike smartly and showed intent without recklessness. However, her dismissal in the 17th over—courtesy of Lee’s brilliance—effectively ended any hopes of RCB pushing towards a competitive total.

RCB were eventually bowled out for 109, a total well below par and their lowest this season. It reflected not just individual brilliance but a collective failure to adapt to conditions.
