The amusing incident took place as members of the Indian squad were leaving the team hotel. Jaiswal was waiting for his teammate when Nitish arrived slightly later than expected, and as soon as the all-rounder approached the car, Jaiswal jokingly expressed his frustration over the delay. Pointing towards his wristwatch, the left-handed batter playfully reminded Nitish about the importance of being on time.

“Das minute se gaadi mai baitha hun. Time se aa jaya kar yaar. Dekh kya time ho raha hai,” Jaiswal said with a smile.

The banter did not end there. Continuing the joke, Jaiswal walked towards the vehicle and humorously opened the door for Nitish before both players got into the car and departed together. The clip quickly gained traction online, with fans enjoying the friendly chemistry between two of India’s rising stars.

India eye series victory in Lucknow

While the viral moment entertained fans, India’s focus remains firmly on the ongoing ODI series against Afghanistan. The hosts registered a seven-wicket victory in the opening ODI and now have an opportunity to seal the series in Lucknow. Reddy played an important role in the first match, particularly with the ball. The seam-bowling all-rounder picked up two wickets, including the prized scalp of Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who had earlier smashed a sensational century. Reddy’s pinpoint yorker ended the Afghan opener’s innings and provided India with a crucial breakthrough.

With Hardik Pandya ruled out of the series, Reddy’s role becomes even more significant as India’s primary pace-bowling all-rounder. Meanwhile, Jaiswal is still awaiting his opportunity in the playing XI after being drafted into the squad as a replacement for the injured Virat Kohli. The left-handed batter remained on the bench during the first ODI, with Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill opening the innings. However, should India secure the series in Lucknow, the management could look at rotating the squad for the final ODI in Chennai, potentially opening the door for Jaiswal to make his return to the ODI side.
