India completed a dominant 3-0 T20I series whitewash over Zimbabwe with a comprehensive 35-run victory in the third and final match at the Harare Sports Club. Riding on another sparkling innings from Vaibhav Suryavanshi and a disciplined bowling effort led by Mayank Yadav, the visitors capped off a flawless tour after earlier registering wins by seven wickets and 90 runs in the opening two games. Suryavanshi’s consistent performances throughout the series also earned him both the Player of the Match and Player of the Series awards.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi powers India to a competitive total
After winning the toss, India opted to bat first and posted an imposing 192/5 in their allotted 20 overs despite an early setback. Abhishek Sharma departed for just two, but Suryavanshi once again anchored the innings with a mature and aggressive knock of 81 off 49 deliveries. The left-hander struck eight boundaries and four sixes, combining elegance with controlled aggression to put Zimbabwe’s bowlers under pressure.
Ishan Kishan provided valuable support with 29 off 26 balls before Shreyas Iyer accelerated the scoring rate with a brisk 27 from 18 deliveries. Tilak Varma chipped in with 11, while Rinku Singh delivered the finishing touches with an unbeaten 25 off only 14 balls, smashing two fours and a six to push India close to the 200-run mark.
For Zimbabwe, Brad Evans was the most successful bowler with figures of 2/41, while Blessing Muzarabani, Sikandar Raza and Wesley Madhevere claimed a wicket each. Despite picking up wickets at regular intervals, the hosts struggled to contain India’s aggressive batting lineup.
Mayank Yadav headlines disciplined bowling display
Zimbabwe’s chase never gathered momentum after Brian Bennett was dismissed for a first-ball duck. Ben Curran and Dion Myers attempted to rebuild with useful contributions of 20 and 19 respectively, but India struck at regular intervals to keep the asking rate climbing.
The biggest blow came when captain Raza was dismissed for a duck, leaving Zimbabwe in deep trouble. Ryan Burl fought a lone battle with a determined 54 off 43 balls, hitting five fours, while Madhevere added 28 to keep Zimbabwe’s hopes alive. However, the required rate proved too steep, and the hosts eventually finished on 157/7 from their 20 overs.
Pace spearhead Mayank led India’s attack brilliantly, returning figures of 3/29 in four overs. Yash Thakur chipped in with two wickets despite conceding 45 runs, while Ashok Sharma and Ravi Bishnoi picked up one wicket each to ensure Zimbabwe never threatened India’s total. The victory completed a commanding clean sweep for India, who had begun the series with a seven-wicket win before producing a crushing 90-run triumph in the second T20I. Throughout the three-match contest, the visitors outclassed Zimbabwe in every department, with their young batting unit delivering consistently and the bowling attack producing timely breakthroughs.

The bowler spotted Vaibhav shaping for the reverse and dragged his line wider outside off, only to be dismantled by an outrageous shot.
