ICC T20 World Cup 2021 Grouping, Schedule, and the Venue

The International Cricket Council released the much-awaited fixtures for the 2021 T20 World Cup. The marquee T20 World Cup tournament was set to begin in 2020 but was called off due to the Corona Virus threat that had spread globally. It was also set to be played in India. However, due to the current coronavirus in the country, the planners thought it better to change the venue and they settled to UAE and Oma. There are four designated venues where the matches will be held which are Muscat, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. The Board of Cricket in India (BCCI) however is still the hosting party hence all rights are reserved. UAE has hosted many events during this pandemic because it is termed as the safest place in the world from Coronavirus.

The T20 World Cup 2021 is booked to start on October 17 and the last of the occasion will be held on November 14. In the meantime, the qualifier round of T20 World Cup 2021 will start on October 17 and will end on October 22. Adding to it, from the following day which is October 23, the Super 12 round will begin and it will end on November 8. 

Afterward, the knockout round of the T20 World Cup 2021 will begin on November 10. Eminently, the main semi-finals will begin in Abu Dhabi and the second semi-last will be played in Dubai on 11 November. Additionally, both semi-finals have hold days.

A sum of 45 games will be played in the T20 World Cup 2021 and ICC has partitioned groups into four groups. Two groups for the Super 12s and Two gatherings for the qualifier stage.
