Gujarat Titans will take on Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 2 of IPL 2023 on Friday, May 26 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. Gujarat are coming into the fixture having lost Qualifier 1 against Chennai Super Kings while Mumbai are coming into the game after hammering Lucknow Super Giants by 81 runs.

GT posses a formidable bowling attack having several big names on the other hand, Mumbai Indians have an inexperienced bowling unit in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah and Jofra Archer. As the two teams, prepare themselves to go all out against each other, let’s take a look at the top three bowlers to watch out for in Qualifier 2:

Mohammed Shami

The right-arm seamer is the leading wicket-taker of the season so far with 26 scalps to his name from 15 matches at an average of 17.38 and a economy rate of 7.66. Shami has been exceptional with the new ball as he’s been successful in picking up wickets inside the powerplay to stop oppositions from getting off to a flying start. The 32-year-old will once again hold the key for GT in the big game.

Rashid Khan

The wrist spinner is the second-highest wicket-taker of the season with 26 wickets to his name from 15 matches at an average of 19 and an economy of 7.91. Rashid has put up remarkable performances at the Narendra Modi Stadium and will once again look to bowl his team to victory against MI.

Akash Madhwal

The 29-year-old has been the find of the tournament for MI as he’s the third-highest wicket-taker of the season having picked up 13 wickets at an average of 12.84 and an economy of 7.76. Madhwal scripted history against LSG as he registered the best bowling figures in the history of IPL by an uncapped player picking up 5/5.

Madhwal will look to carry his brilliant form into Qualifier 2 and once again pick crucial wickets for his side against GT.
