Mumbai Indians (MI) stormed into Qualifier 2 after thumping Lucknow Super Giants by 81 runs in the Eliminator at Chepauk. With this, the five-time winners will lock horns with defending champions Gujarat Titians (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Friday, May 26, in order to book a spot in the finals of the IPL 2023. With high-voltage Qualifier 2 to be played on Friday, we take a look at the top three players who could potentially bag the Player of the Match award-

Suryakumar Yadav

The swashbuckling right-hander holds the potential to single-handedly win matches for his side considering his batting exploits. In 15 matches, Suryakumar has collected 544 runs at a solid average of 41.85, lacing it with four fifties and one ton to his name. With one final shot to reach the summit clash, the batter will look to maintain his purple patch and display his exquisite shots to get the big runs. With this, he could be a potential candidate to earn the Player of the Match award.

Rashid Khan

Not just with the ball, Rashid Khan has been just as lethal with the bat and will look to play a vital role for the defending champions in the Qualifier 2. The Afghan spin sensation is among the leading wicket-takers with 25 scalps to his name in 15 matches. In addition to this, he has been razor-sharp as a fielder and he will be raring to give his best against Mumbai in the crucial fixture.

Cameron Green

Cameron Green has been able to fill the Kieron Pollard-sized void with his exhilarating performances with the bat. Moreover, he has also been quite effective with the ball and got a few breakthroughs in the ongoing edition. His 41 off 23 balls coupled with a 66-run stand with Suryakumar Yadav helped MI attain a competitive total against LSG in the Eliminator. He will aim to come all guns blazing in the forthcoming match and help his side get to the summit cash.
