The incredible action will continue in IPL 2023 as Chennai Super Kings will take on Delhi Capitals in Match 67 on Saturday, May 20 at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. Chennai are coming into the fixture having lost their previous game against Kolkata Knight Riders by six wickets. On the other hand, Delhi are coming into the fixture having beaten Punjab Kings in their last encounter by 15 runs.

Chennai are ranked second on the points table having 15 points with seven wins from 13 matches. They have a great chance of finishing in the top two on the points table if they manage to defeat DC in their last fixture. However, if they end up losing the game they will have to hope that Royal Challengers Bangalore or Mumbai Indians lose one of their remaining fixtures to allow them to qualify for the playoffs.

The MS Dhoni-led side started its campaign with a loss in their opening fixture against GT but further went on to register consecutive wins against LSG and MI. They lost their fourth fixture against RR but ended up completing a hat-trick of wins against RCB, SRH and KKR. CSK have only been able to win two out of their last six fixtures and will look to seal the playoff spot with a win against DC.

On the other hand, DC are ninth on the points table having ten points with five wins from 13 games. They spoiled Punjab’s party in their previous fixture by beating them and making their road to the playoffs tougher. 

The David Warner-led side started its campaign by losing five consecutive matches, however, they made a remarkable comeback by winning four out of their next five fixtures. Just when things were looking good for DC, consecutive losses against CSK and PBKS knocked them out of the tournament.

DC will look to salvage some pride by beating CSK in the last fixture and will be eager to spoil their party as well.
