The 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 is scheduled to begin on March 31, and fans can’t wait to see their favourite players in action once more. The whole tournament will be held in India, which is more or less a paradise for spinners.
Almost every franchise has a plethora of stars in their line-up. Yuzvendra Chahal from Rajasthan Royals, Adil Rashid from Sunrisers Hyderabad, and many more spinners will look to make an impact in the upcoming tournament. With the competition right around the corner, let us have a look at three overseas spinners to watch out for in the 2023 IPL.
Adam Zampa
Adam Zampa was roped in by Rajasthan Royals at the 2023 IPL auction for INR 1.5 crore. RR were the finalists of the 2022 IPL and will be looking for a repeat of their performance from the previous edition. Zampa could be a key player for them if given the chance. The 30-year-old has played 14 IPL matches so far and taken 21 wickets, if he does get the chance to play, Zampa could prove to be an important part of RR’s squad.
Adil Rashid
Adil Rashid will be playing his very first IPL in 2023 and will represent Sunrisers Hyderabad, who bought him in for INR 2 crore. In the 95 T20Is that Rashid has played for England, he has taken just as many wickets. The 35-year-old will look to use his international experience and showcase it at the biggest T20 league in the world.
Rashid Khan
Rashid Khan has been one of the most dangerous spinners in the IPL over the years. He was roped in by Gujarat Titans at the 2022 IPL auction, and he did not fail to make his mark either. He has played 92 IPL matches so far and claimed 112 wickets. His performances could be key for GT for them to retain the title.
