In a surprising turn of events, Lucknow Super Giants bid farewell to assistant coach Vijay Dahiya as they gear up for the upcoming IPL 2024 season. Dahiya, the former India wicketkeeper, had been an integral part of the Super Giants’ support staff led by Andy Flower since the team’s inception in 2022.

The move comes in the aftermath of LSG appointing former Australia opener and chief coach Justin Langer as their new head coach, choosing not to renew the contract of Andy Flower after the IPL 2023 season. In the same vein, Daahiya took to his social media to wish luck to his former franchise for the upcoming IPL season.

“Time to bid adieu…LSG. Lucknow Super Giants, it was a wonderful experience working with the team over the past two years. Wishing team LSG all the very best,” the former Assistant coach Dahiya wrote in his farewell message on his Instagram handle.
