In the thrilling encounter between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Delhi Capitals (DC) at Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium in the Indian Premier League 2024, RR emerged victorious by 12 runs.

Winning the toss, Delhi elected to bowl first, putting Rajasthan into bat. RR posted a competitive total of 185/5 in their 20 overs. Riyan Parag was the star performer with the bat, smashing 84 runs off just 45 deliveries, including 7 fours and 6 sixes. Also it was his highest score in the IPL.
Ravichandran Ashwin contributed 29 runs, while Dhruv Jurel and Sanju Samson provided handy contributions of 20 and 15 runs respectively.

In response, Delhi fell short of the target, managing to score 173/5 in their allotted 20 overs. David Warner top-scored with a brisk 49 off 34 balls, supported by Tristan Stubbs‘ aggressive knock of 44 not out from 23 deliveries. However, their efforts were not enough to secure victory for the visitors.
For Royals, the bowling was led by Nandre Burger and Yuzvendra Chahal, who claimed two wickets each, restricting DC’ batting lineup.

Riyan Parag was awarded the Player of the Match for his outstanding batting performance, which played a crucial role in Royals’ victory.
