The stage is all set for the summit clash of the Legends League Cricket (LLC) 2023. Urbanisers Hyderabad take on Manipal Tigers in the final of the LLC 2023 on Saturday, December 9. Both sides will face off at the Lalbhai Contractor Stadium in Surat.

Both sides will be coming into the clash on the back of brilliant wins in the knockout stages. Urbanisers Hyderabad took on Manipal Tigers in Qualifier 1 of the tournament. Batting first, Hyderabad posted a total of 253 runs in the first innings. Dwayne Smith was the highest run getter with 120 runs in 53 deliveries. 

Defending the target, Hyderabad managed to limit Tigers to a total of 178 runs. Jerome Taylor and Peter Trego were the highest wicket takers with three wickets to their names each. Stuart Binny took two wickets, whereas Rikki Clarke struck once. 

On the other hand, Manipal Tigers went on to face defending champions India Capitals in the second qualifier of the tournament as both teams fought for a spot in the final of the competition.

The clash began with Capitals batting first and posting a total of 177 runs in the first innings. Mitchell McClenaghan and Thisara Perera were the highest wicket takers for Tigers in the first innings taking three wickets each. Pankaj Singh took one wicket as well. 

Aiming to chase down a target of 178 runs, Manipal Tigers put in a brilliant performance with the bat. The run chase began with Chadwick Walton opening the innings scoring 33 runs in 18 deliveries. 

Angelo Perera scored 35 runs in 27 balls, with Asela Gunaratne scoring 39* runs in 25 deliveries. Furthermore, Colin de Grandhomme added 38* runs in 24 balls as Tigers registered an emphatic win and defeated Capitals to make it to the LLC 2023 final. 

As the final of the tournament approaches, Manipal Tigers would be keen on giving it their all against Urbanisers Hyderabad as both teams battle it out for title glory.
