The eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is all set to begin on Monday, February 13, 2023, and will conclude on Sunday, March 19 with six teams participating in Pakistan’s most exciting T20 league. Islamabad United is the most successful team in the PSL having won the title twice in 2016 and 2018. In a T20 tournament, six-hitting is what comes naturally amongst the players as per the demand of the format. Over the years, a few top-quality players who possess power and skill have managed to send the ball into the stands a number of times in this competition and they feature in this article.

5. Shoaib Malik and Sharjeel Khan (72)

Veteran Pakistani player Shoaib Malik and left-handed batter Sharjeel Khan are tied in the fifth position for hitting 72 maximums in the PSL. In 72 matches, experienced campaigner Malik has scored 1882 runs at an average of 34.21 and a strike rate of 129.97 with the highest score of 73. In 68 innings, he has struck 12 fifties and also 134 fours. Sharjeel has played 45 games and amassed 1085 runs at an average of 25.83 and a strike rate of 141.46 with the best score of 117. In 44 innings, he has hit two centuries and four fifties, and also 97 fours. Malik has played for Karachi Kings, Multan Sultans, and Peshawar Zalmi while Sharjeel has appeared for Islamabad United and the Kings.

4. Fakhar Zaman (73)

Swashbuckling batter Fakhar Zaman finds himself in the fourth position in this chart. The southpaw has mustered 1939 runs in 63 matches with 190 fours and 73 maximums. Zaman has managed to slam one hundred and 16 half-centuries at an average of 31.27 and a strike rate of 138.79 with the highest score of 106. Fakhar has featured for Lahore Qalandars in the PSL.

3. Asif Ali (79)

Hard-hitting right-handed batter Asif Ali is in the third spot in this table. In 67 games, Asif has racked up 1016 runs with 59 fours and 79 maximums to his name. The 31-year-old has hit three half-centuries at an average of 23.09 and a deadly strike rate of 158.75 with the best score of 75. Asif has played his cricket for the Islamabad United side in the PSL.

2. Shane Watson (81)

Former Australia all-rounder Shane Watson occupies the second position in this chart. The destructive right-handed batter has slammed 1361 runs in 46 games which included 123 fours and 81 sixes. Watson smacked nine half-centuries at an average of 32.40 and a strike rate of 138.59 with the highest score of 91*. He played for Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators in the league.

1. Kamran Akmal (89)

Former Pakistan wicketkeeper batter Kamran Akmal tops the list. In 75 matches, Kamran scored 1972 runs with the help of 213 fours and 89 maximums. In 74 innings, he hammered three centuries and 12 half-centuries at an average of 27.38 and a strike rate of 136.94 with the best score of 107*. Kamran has appeared for Peshawar Zalmi in the PSL.
