Netherland and Pakistan will lock horns in the second game of the ODI series to be played at Hazelaarweg in Rotterdam.

In the series opener, the Netherlands lost the match by a close margin. Captain Scott Edwards will be hoping that the side can put in another decent performance in this fixture.

On the other hand, Pakistan registered a 19-run win over the Netherlands, courtesy of excellent contributions from Fakhar Zaman, Naseem Shah, and Babar Azam. With this result, Pakistan has taken a 1-0 lead in the three-match ODI series

Netherlands Preview

The home side will not make changes to their playing XI for this all-important clash. In the batting department, the side will be relying on the likes of Max O’Dowd, Bas De Leede, Tom Cooper, Vikramjit Singh, and Scott Edwards to deliver the bulk of the runs.

In the previous match, Vikramjit Singh, Scott Edwards, and Tom Cooper showed decent form and smashed half-centuries for the Netherlands.

In the bowling department, the side will be depending on the likes of Vivian Kingma, Tim Pringle, Logan Van Beek, Aryan Dutt, and Bas De Leede to provide timely breakthroughs.

In the previous match, medium-pacer Bas De Leede was the pick of the bowlers for the Netherlands and claimed 2 for 42 in 10 overs.

Pakistan Preview

The visitors will need to make improvements with bat and ball against the Netherlands. In the batting department, the side will be depending on the likes of Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Fakhar Zaman, Imam-Ul-Haq, Khushdil Shah, and Shadab Khan to deliver the bulk of the runs.

In the previous match, opener Fakhar Zaman was the standout performer with the bat and finished the innings with the top score of 109 runs with the help of twelve fours and one six. He was well supported by skipper Babar Azam, who chipped in with 74 runs off 85 balls.

In the bowling department, the side will be depending on the likes of Shadab Khan, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Nawaz, and Naseem Shah to deliver crucial breakthroughs.

In the previous match, the new-ball pair of Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah bowled well and claimed three wickets apiece.

Weather Conditions

The weather forecast for Thursday’s game is going to be light clouds with a gentle breeze. The wicket prepared for the game will be excellent for batting.

Venue Details

Hazelaarweg in Rotterdam is going to host the second ODI game between Netherlands and Pakistan.

Toss: To Bat

Both sides will be looking to win the toss, bat first, and post a score over 325 runs. The series opener played at Rotterdam was won by the side batting first.

Pakistan Predicted Playing XI:

Babar Azam (c), Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Fakhar Zaman, Imam-Ul-Haq. Agha Salman, Khushdil Shah, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Wasim Jr, Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah.

Netherlands Predicted Playing XI:

Scott Edwards (c & wk), Vikramjit Singh, Bas de Leede, Max O’Dowd, Tom Cooper, Teja Nidamanuru, Logan van Beek, Tim Pringle, Aryan Dutt, Wesley Barresi, Vivian Kingma

The probable best batter of the match:

Babar Azam:

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam scored a decent fifty in the first ODI match as he scored 70+ runs and missed a century by some margin. The right-handed batter will want to redeem himself and smash a big score against a meek-looking Dutch side in the second fixture.

Probably the best bowler of the match

Haris Rauf:

Pakistan’s express pacer Haris Rauf scalped three wickets in the first ODI fixture and the speedster will be looking to emulate his performance in the second ODI as well. However, Rauf was a touch expensive in the first ODI encounter as he gave away 67 runs in his ten overs.

Winning Prediction

Based on current form, Pakistan will be clear favorites to win the second game of the one-day series against the Netherlands. With the likes of Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, and Naseem Shah putting in excellent performances in the opening encounter, Men in Green will be keen to continue their winning momentum and clinch the ODI series on Thursday.

Expect Pakistan to beat the Netherlands and go 2-0 up in the three-match ODI series.
