Sixers Women registered an impressive win against the Melbourne Renegades Women coming here. The Thunder Women shared the points with Melbourne Stars Women after the rain stopped play in the last game.  

Sydney Thunder Women have won only once in their seven games. The side has struggled due to a lack of form among the top players. The Sixers Women have looked in excellent form and sit comfortably at the top of the points table. A win for Thunder Women shall keep them alive in the tournament, and it will be interesting to see how they perform.

Rachael Haynes’ team needs to fire all cylinders as they take the table-toppers in this game. A win shall keep the side standing for a berth in the semifinals, and Haynes would like her players to deliver their best in this game. The Thunder Women enter this contest with their last game against the Melbourne Stars Women washed away by rain.  

Amy Jones and Phoebe Litchfield got starts in the last game, and they would like to set up a big-opening wicket stand in this game. Haynes must lead from the front and add to the score in the middle order with Anika Learoyd. Chole Tryon, Sammy-Jo Johnson, and Olivia Porter must score runs down the order, as the top order hasn’t been consistent.

It was the fifth win of the season for Ellyse Perry’s side. They dominated with the bat against Melbourne Renegades Women to win the game by 37 runs. The side is close to a berth in the semifinals, and they would look to secure it with a win here. Their opponents haven’t been in the best form, adding to the side’s confidence.  

Alyssa Healy and Suzie Bates set up a 151-run stand in the last game. They would be confident here. Ashleigh Gardner, Erin Burns, and Ellyse Perry have done well and would like to continue with the same form. Nicole Bolton, Sophie Ecclestone, and Maitlan Brown add to the side’s batting firepower down the order.
