Sebastian Kehl, the sports director of Borussia Dortmund, stated that Jadon Sancho, who is on loan from Manchester United, is thrilled to be returning to his old side during the transfer season.

Sancho, who cost £73 million, to go from Dortmund to United in 2021, had already lost the favor of Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag in September of last year. Following a post-match news conference in which his management made fun of his subpar training sessions, the 23-year-old openly confronted his boss.

The former Manchester City young player hasn’t been included in the parent club’s first team ambitions since. As a consequence, on Thursday, January 11, was able to obtain an interim temporary move to BVB.

Kehl has made the following remarks when Sancho signed (via Fabrizio Romano), as he said, “It was not easy to bring Sancho back, it took many days! You can see the fire in his eyes. Jadon is really happy to be able to play football again. We’ll do everything we can to get him back to his highest level as quickly as possible.”

Before joining Ten Hag’s team, Sancho had played 137 games for Dortmund from 2017 and 2021, tallying 50 goals and dishing out 64 assists. Sancho, who has only played three games for Manchester United so far this season, has also talked candidly about his move.

The attacking winger spoke during a video posted by the club. He said, “When I came into the dressing room today, it felt like ‘coming home. I know the club inside and out, I’ve always been very close with the fans here, and I’ve never lost contact with those in charge. I can’t wait to see my teammates again, go out on the pitch, play football with a smile on my face, prepare goals, score goals and help qualify for the Champions League.”
