From Saudi Arabia, Cristiano Ronaldo was recently given the opportunity to return to the English Premier League as well as European football. Based to a report by El Nacional, the Al-Nassr superstar has been advised that he could move to Newcastle United in 2024.

Due to irreconcilable issues with manager Erik ten Hag, Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract with Manchester United was terminated in November 2022, and he departed the club. Following the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the seasoned attacker joined Saudi heavyweights Al-Nassr in January 2023.

With 24 goals in 24 Saudi Pro League matches since his arrival, the 38-year-old has kept rewinding the years in Saudi. The club’s owners have taken notice of his league performances and are now offering him a way to return to Europe.

After making a significant investment in Sandro Tonali during the summer, the Magpies are looking to bolster their team with some superstar acquisitions. During the UEFA Champions League, their 4-1 victory against Paris Saint-Germain would have been a big confidence booster for them.

Cristiano Ronaldo would believe that he deserves greater competition even if he has continued to control the Saudi Pro League like his own personal domain. He will feel that he needs a more difficult test despite the country seeing a large infusion of top European talent. Europe has always been a home for Ronaldo and his return might just be amazing for the sport.

Since departing Manchester United, Ronaldo appears to have given up on a comeback to Europe and is ready to call it quits in Saudi Arabia. The striker, who moved to Al-Nassr, continues being called to play for the Portuguese national team. He has won nearly every trophy there is to win in Europe.

Ironically, in his subsequent Manchester United debut in 2021, Cristiano Ronaldo netted twice against Newcastle United. They are a team with a strong reputation in English football, and its ambitious owners have allegedly expressed interest in adding prominent players like Vinicius Junior.
