Pep Guardiola statement on Jack Grealish incident
Star England player Jack Grealish and his family were in the middle of a burglary drama on Friday. This was during City’s travel to Everton for their English Premier League campaign during the mid-week fixtures.
Pep Guardiola said “Fortunately nothing wrong happened where the family was inside. The caller reported that several items had been stolen. Officers, supported by the police dogs and NPAS (National Police Air Service), were deployed and searches were conducted in the local area, but there was no trace of the suspects.
The local police also said “No arrests have been made at this time and enquiries are ongoing. It is what it is today in the modern day, with many things happening. It was a bad moment for him and his family but, fortunately, what was not damaged were the people inside.”
Rodri and Julian Alvarez scored the goals as City won against Sheffield United to go third in the table. After the game against Huddersfield, City will take on Newcastle United away from home. It is a huge game for Guardiola and his side with a massive lineup of games coming in the next few months.
Jack Grealish meanwhile will look to put this episode behind them and start scoring goals. The fans at the Etihad Stadium will hope the winger finds top form to help them retain the titles in the next few months.
