Day 7 roundup of Krantijyot Mahila Pratisthan Yuva Kabaddi Series 2023

On day 7 of the Krantijyot Mahila Pratisthan Yuva Kabaddi Series 2023 teams from Group A played their finals match of Round 1. After the conclusion of Round 1 teams from Ahmednagar, Mumbai, Pune, and Kolhapur advanced to the Promotion Zone. Meanwhile, teams from Raigad, Palghar, Sangli, and Latur were relegated as they failed to make it into the top four. Notably, The Promotion Zone clubs automatically qualified for the tournament’s Playoffs by putting up a strong performance.

On the final day of Round 1 of Pool, A Two games ended in a tie while two matches were one-sided. The day also saw dominance from the teams from the Palghar and Pune districts, who trounced Latur and Sangli by enormous margins of 42 and 54 points, respectively. In the first game of the day, Latur District Vijayanagara Veers faced Pune District Palani Tuskers. The match ended as a one-sided game as Pune thrashed Latur by 62-20.

In the second game of the day two top teams of the Group locked horns. Ahmednagar District Periyar Panthers took on Mumbai Upnagar Murthal Magnets. The game started well as Ahmednagar was leading by two points at half time. However, Mumbai made a comeback and tied the game. By this draw, Ahmednagar remained undefeated in the first leg of the tournament.

Palghar thrashed Sangli by 54 points 

In the third game of the day, Raigad District Maratha Marvels faced Kolhapur District Taboda Tigers. At half time Raigad had a massive lead of eight points as they ended it with 13-21. However, Kolhapur made an amazing comeback as they managed to tie the game and didn’t let Raigad move to the next round.

In the last game of Pool-A Palghar District Kaziranga Rhinos faced Sangli District Sindh Sonics. The game started and ended without any competition from Sangli as they once again failed to score points. In the end, Palghar thrashed Sangli by a huge margin of 54 points although they failed to make it to the next round. On Thursday Pool B matches will start and will continue for the next seven days.
