India Dominates Quarter-Finals to Advance to Semis in 2nd Junior World Kabaddi Championship 2023

The ongoing 2nd Junior World Kabaddi Championship 2023 witnessed an action-packed day three with four quarter-final fixtures taking place in Urmia, Iran on Thursday (March 2). The day saw some thrilling matches as well as some one-sided victories, with India once again asserting their dominance and qualifying for the semi-finals.

The first quarter-final of the day saw the host nation Iran take on Bangladesh, and the former emerged victorious with a scoreline of 56-17. Iran dominated the match from the very beginning and managed to keep Bangladesh at bay throughout the match.

In the second quarter-final, Iraq went up against Nepal in what turned out to be a nail-biting encounter. The match was closely contested, with both teams giving it their all, but Nepal managed to secure a one-point victory with a scoreline of 64-63.

The third quarter-final saw India take on Chinese Taipei, and the Indian team once again showcased their skills and talent. India won the match with a scoreline of 54-36 and advanced through to the semi-finals.

In the fourth and final quarter-final of the day, Pakistan faced off against Kenya. Pakistan dominated the match from the very beginning and won with a scoreline of 56-24, ending the day on a winning note.

On Friday, March 3, the winners of the quarter-finals will face each other in the semi-finals of the Junior World Kabaddi Championship 2023. The first semi-final will see Iran take on Nepal, while the second semi-final will be played between India and Pakistan.
