An encounter between a roaring Tamil Thalaivas and sulking Bengal Warriors will be an interesting one. Tamil Thalavias took advantage of the absence of Naveen Kumar as they thrashed Dabang Delhi in their last game. Tamil Thalaivas dominated the proceedings from the first raid as raider Narender looted 24 points in that game. The defense played its part as they earned 12 tackle points in the game.

Bengal Warriors entered their last game with a lot of confidence. But they were conned by U Mumba as the Warriors lost the game by 11 points. Maninder Singh was trapped by the Mumba defense and left corner Girish Ernak was also neutralized by the Mumba raiders. Bengal looked clueless as they succumbed to the pressure tactics.

They will be up against a resurgent Tamil Thalaivas which is looking dangerous even without Pawan Sehrawat. Bengal Warriors need to recharge themselves to keep their hopes alive in the tournament.

Bengal Warriors Preview

The Bengal Warriors have been quite inconsistent this season. In some of the games, they look invincible while in others they look pedestrian. They have the firepower but their opponents seem to be trapping them quite easily.

After consecutive losses, they beat the defending champions convincingly. The entire defense was resonating well. In their next game, they got stuck and lost to U Mumba by a margin of 11 points. The same defense looked toothless against the Mumba raiders. Now they take on the Tamil Thalaivas which comes into this match after handing a thrashing to the defending champions. Tamil Thalaivas may not have Pawan Sehrawat but the Bengal Warriors have to be careful about their intensity.

Captain Maninder Singh has earned 64 points from 8 games and does not feature in the top 10 anymore. This is because he has been decoded in some of the games where he could not score much. Left corner Girish Ernak is their only hope as he has been consistent and lethal. He has executed 28 successful tackles including 3 Hi 5’s. But the other defenders need to rise to the occasion.

Tamil Thalaivas Preview

Tamil Thalaivas seems to be living through all the emotions this season. They lost Pawan Sehrawat to a freak injury in their first match of the season and then they could not win a game. Ultimately they defeated the Patna Pirates to register their first win of the season but still, they kept losing games. Placed at the bottom of the points table, they got a lease of life as they were able to thrash none other than the defending champions. 

The Tamil Thalaivas won that match in style and looks like they are back on track. Though it is too early to predict if you can win games without Pawan, it looks like Thalaiva has found the formula to cruise through this PKL. Pawan is recuperating and should be back in action soon. Tamil Thalaivas is placed 11th in the points table and now they get ready to take on the Bengal Warriors. 

Raider Narender had the best match of his life as he plundered 24 points against Dabang Delhi. Left corner Himanshu too hunted down the raiders with ease as he earned 5 tackle points in that game. Tamil Thalaivas scored 9 tackle points against Dabang and got them all out thrice in the first half. This will give the Thalaiva a lot of confidence as they take on the Warriors.

The Thalaiva will take into consideration that the Warriors have not been in great touch losing games often. Tamil Thalaivas will look at trapping Maninder early so that the Warriors do not earn through raids. Defenders Sagar and left cover Mohit will have to play an important role in toning down the Warriors.

Winning Prediction

Welcome to an epic battle where for a change the Tamil Thalaivas will start as favorites in the game. The Bengal Warriors have broken down more often this season. Captain Maninder needs to be careful as he is an important source of income for the Warriors. He cannot get bogged down by the opposition defenders. Shrikant Jadhav and Amit Hooda need to increase their intensity, especially for this game. Left corner Girish Ernak and defender Vaibhav Garje will hunt down Thalaiva raider Ajinkya Pawar but they may not be able to rein in raider Narender.

With his newfound vigor, raider Narender will be the trump card for the Tamil Thalaivas. Defenders Sagar and Mohit should be able to regulate Maninder and limit his earnings. Left corner Himanshu will add to the trouble of the Bengal Warriors. Sahil Gulia and M Abhishek should be able to create panic in the Warriors camp.

This will be a very entertaining match as both sides will try to take advantage very early in the game. This will be the turning point for the Bengal Warriors for this season.
