The 2023 Asian Kabaddi Championship dates have been made public. The competition will take place from June 27 until June 30. The championship will take place in the South Korean city of Busan. After a protracted absence of six years, international Kabaddi is back, ending the wait for both players and fans.

The most recent Asian Kabaddi Championship took place in Gorgan, Iran, in 2017. Any Indian will never forget this tournament’s edition because India and Pakistan competed in the final. The 2017 Asian Kabaddi Championship final saw squad India emerge winners, beating the Pakistani squad 36–22.

Anup Kumar, a former captain, guided Team India to victory in that year. He currently serves as the head coach of the Pro Kabaddi League’s Puneri Paltan Kabaddi team. Currently, the Indian Kabaddi side will be the reigning champions when they arrive in Busan. Indians also do well in Kabaddi, Boxing, and Cricket, in addition to Wrestling, Boxing, and Cricket.

India has established itself as the most successful nation when the Asian Kabaddi Championship began in 1980 by claiming seven gold medals throughout the last eight competitions, as is clear from the fact. Only Iran has been able to end India’s winning streak since they last won the tournament in 2003.

The nation is proud that the Women Kabaddi team is the reigning champion in the women’s division after defeating South Korea 42-20 in the championship match in Iran in 2017. In the last five Asian Kabaddi Championships, the India Women’s Kabaddi team has won four gold medals, making them one of the most effective teams in the sport. The South Korean Women’s Kabaddi team is the only one to have won the championship once.

Ashan Kumar, E. Bhaskaran, and Sanjeev Baliyan, three seasoned trainers, will be in charge for the Asian Championship squad and choose the players for the competition. The Patliputra Sports Complex will host the tryouts for the Indian men’s Kabaddi team that will compete in the Asian Kabaddi Championship in Busan on May 17.
