On the first ball, Kerr executed a slower one, and Evans responded by pumping it over mid-on for a boundary. With his front foot out of the way and body stable, Evans showcased a baseball-style mow over the infield for a four. The very next ball witnessed Evans smoking it over mid-off for a six, asserting his dominance. On the third delivery, Evans crouched and saucered a low full toss fine, skillfully paddling it for another six, with the shot coming right off the middle.
Moving forward, a full delivery on the middle allowed Evans to drive it elegantly for a boundary, pointing his front foot towards mid-on. On the penultimate ball, Kerr attempted to pull his length back, but Evans expertly executed a one-hand pull over short fine leg for a four. The last ball of the over saw Kerr delivering a slower bumper angling in at the body, but Evans adeptly pulled it to the right of deep midwicket for another boundary, concluding a remarkable display of powerful and precise shot-making
